LIFELIKE: Day 410
LIFELIKE » Devlog
Hello! I’ve been getting back into the swing of development for the past two weeks, here’s what’s happened since we last talked:
- Flavor text is IN! (I did a word count for the whole game so far, it’s nearing 30k)
- The entire intro sequence has been sprited and implemented. This is some of my best work for the game so far.
- NPC sprites are in-progress, here’s a familiar duo I added to engine today.
- LIFELIKE’s Steam page hit 500 wishlists! I’m thrilled to have hit this number so soon after announcing the page. It’s gotten me very excited to release there :)
Over the next two weeks, I start work. It’s part-time, which I believe will allow me to still commit a substantial amount of my time to LIFELIKE. Now that I’m on to art, I’m much more enthusiastic about working on the game as opposed to making sure the ten thousand word script is formatted correctly (extremely tedious). Here’s what I’ll be working on:
- NPCS. I hope to make a substantial dent in NPC sprites and talk sprites. This is a decent chunk of what’s left in Track 2 aside from cutscene animations.
- If I finish those, there are several overworld animations that occur this episode that are a part of… puzzles! More on those later as I start animating them.
See you all next log!
