LIFELIKE: Day 445
LIFELIKE » Devlog
Hello!
I’m back and mostly finished with my non-gamedev obligations. I managed to get a reasonable amount of work done as well, here’s what happened:
- NPC sprites and some cutscenes have been cleaned up/added
- Sprited, rigged, and implemented boss artwork (some of my best work yet, I think)
- Added more animates to the overworld to make things feel a bit more alive. Look at them go!
Again, my to-do list is looking pretty similar to what I’ve been doing for the past few weeks:
- Continue polishing cutscenes and adding animations. This is starting to morph into preliminary playtesting which I’m really happy about.
I’m pretty wiped out from everything that’s been going on lately, so I’m going to sign off here. See you all next time!

There's so much personality in how the lifelikes are moving. I love the construction guard rails! Left comes off as super bubbly and right is just chilling.
Thank you Bubbly! Personality is something I always try to show off in the Animates. I just wrapped up some of the largest Animate sprites yet, can't wait to show them off next log!
